Parallel edges and a vanishing point

Linear perspective is one way to suggest depth on a flat surface. In one-point perspective, a set of parallel edges receding directly away from the viewer is represented by lines meeting at a vanishing point on the horizon. Not every line meets there. The example shows a corridor whose receding edges converge while the front frame stays rectangular.
