Stars within galaxies

A galaxy is a large gravitationally bound system containing stars, gas, dust, and dark matter. The Solar System lies within the Milky Way. Galaxies differ in shape, star formation, and history. A constellation is a pattern or region on our sky, not a separate galaxy or necessarily a group of nearby stars.
