Using reaction mole ratios

Coefficients in a balanced reaction equation give ratios of amounts in moles. They are not generally ratios of masses. First balance the equation, then use its coefficients to relate reactants and products. In the reaction forming water, two moles of hydrogen gas react with one mole of oxygen gas to form two moles of water. If enough oxygen is available, four moles of hydrogen gas can form four moles of water.

Practice

With enough oxygen, how many moles of water can form from 6 moles of hydrogen gas?
