A changing currency price

An exchange rate is the price of one currency in another. When a home currency depreciates, foreign goods become more expensive in home-currency terms if their foreign prices stay fixed. Export demand may change too. Pass-through, contracts, imported inputs, and the response of buyers influence the overall effect.
