Deciding about one more
A marginal decision compares the extra benefit and extra cost of a small change. A bakery deciding whether to produce another tray should consider the additional ingredients, labor, and expected sales. Costs that will be unchanged whichever option is chosen do not determine the extra cost of that tray.
