Choices depend on others

Game theory studies choices whose outcomes depend on what others do. A Nash equilibrium is a set of choices in which no participant can improve their payoff by changing alone, holding others’ choices fixed. It does not guarantee the best shared outcome, fairness, or only one possible equilibrium.
