Build to answer a question

A prototype is a model used to investigate a design. A cardboard reading stand might reveal whether its angle and size suit a desk without proving how a final metal stand will carry loads. Choose the prototype to answer a specific question, record what it represents, and state what it cannot establish. A realistic appearance alone does not make a test relevant.
