Follow feeding relationships

A food web shows feeding relationships among organisms. In a diagram whose arrows show energy transfer, an arrow points from the organism eaten to its consumer. A plant can feed several consumers, and a consumer may have several food sources. Removing one population can therefore affect several relationships. Check the diagram’s arrow convention before interpreting it.
