Trace water between reservoirs

Water moves among the atmosphere, land, living things, and bodies of water. Evaporation transfers liquid water to vapor, condensation forms liquid droplets, and precipitation brings water to the surface. Some water enters soil while some flows over it. These pathways have different rates; water does not travel through every stage in one fixed sequence.
