Order events using intersections

A geological feature that cuts another is younger than the feature it cuts. For example, a magma intrusion that crosses sedimentary layers formed after those layers. This establishes an order, not the time between events. Check that the observed contact really shows cutting, rather than assuming two nearby features must have formed together.
