Give parts different roles

An arrangement distributes musical material among voices or instruments. Register, doubling, spacing, and rhythm affect which parts stand out. Giving every instrument the same dense line may hide an intended main melody. Test how changes in one part affect the whole rather than assuming more layers always improve the result.
