An outcome-focused ethical approach

Consequentialist approaches assess moral rightness through consequences. They differ about which outcomes matter and how to evaluate them. Considering outcomes requires attention to everyone affected, uncertainty, and alternatives. This lesson identifies an approach; it does not assume that consequences are the only defensible basis for ethics.
