What kind of claim is a moral claim?

Metaethics examines the meaning and status of moral claims, while normative ethics asks which actions or principles are right. Moral disagreement alone does not logically settle whether moral claims can be true independently of attitudes. Different metaethical views offer different explanations of moral language and disagreement.
