Look for evidence that could change your view

Confirmation bias can involve favoring information that supports an existing belief. A learner who thinks one study method always works may remember successes and overlook failures. Define what would count against the belief and examine those cases too. Noticing a possible bias invites a better check; it does not prove that the belief is false.
