Explain how people coordinate

Collective action involves people acting together toward a shared aim. Sharing a concern does not automatically create coordinated activity. Organizing may require communication, resources, trust, and decisions about responsibilities. Study how participation is enabled and sustained instead of explaining a group’s actions only through the number of people who agree with its goal.
