Education involves more than the officially stated curriculum. Everyday arrangements can also teach expectations about time, authority, and cooperation. Sociologists sometimes call these implicit lessons a hidden curriculum. The term does not by itself mean a secret plan; it directs attention to learning embedded in routines and relationships.
