Examine patterned inequality

Social stratification concerns structured inequalities in access to resources, power, and valued positions. It refers to patterns, not simply differences in personal taste. Investigating it may involve comparing access to schooling, housing, or influential roles. A group-level pattern does not mean that every member has the same experience.
